The career development program offers both professional and technical development and training. The professional development training covers a range of areas including people management, sales and marketing, problem solving, time and project management. A detailed technical training program is also offered, with the majority of the training being provided by in-house experts with additional specific training being available through external training companies.
Additionally, Johnson Matthey operate a Process Engineer Development Programme that ensures process engineers are exposed to varied experiences that will enable them to develop the competencies required for gaining chartered engineer status. In order to help graduates achieve this, they will be assigned a mentor when they join the company who will guide and advise until chartered status has been achieved.
